Youth Leader Instructor (Canadian Red Cross)

Location: Abbotsford, BC

Commitment: Part-time (1 course per month)

Are you passionate about empowering the next generation with life-saving skills? Explore Ridge is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and certified Youth Leader Instructor to join our team!

In this role, you will facilitate Canadian Red Cross youth programs (such as the Babysitting course) in Abbotsford, helping young participants build confidence, leadership, and safety awareness.

Key Details

• Frequency: 1 course per month.

• Location: Abbotsford, BC (all course venues are fully coordinated for you).

• Equipment: All equipment is provided! You just need to bring your expertise and passion for teaching—we handle the rest.

• Pay: Highly competitive wage based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, engaging, and interactive Canadian Red Cross youth courses.

• Create a safe, inclusive, and fun learning environment for youth participants.

• Manage classroom dynamics and ensure all course standards and Red Cross guidelines are met.

• Set up and pack down provided course equipment.

What We Are Looking For

• Certification: Must hold a current Canadian Red Cross Youth Leader certification.

• Experience: Proven experience working with youth/children in a teaching, camp, or leadership capacity.

• Skills: Excellent communication, public speaking, and classroom management skills.

• Reliability: Punctual, organized, and able to work independently.

• Clear Background Check: A valid Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check (or willingness to obtain one).
