Course Overview:
The CPR C course provides participants with the essential skills to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking incidents for adults, children, and babies. This course meets legislative requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest CPR guidelines and training in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
Instructor:
A certified Red Cross CPR Instructor or First Aid Instructor will lead the course, ensuring participants gain both practical and theoretical knowledge to effectively handle emergencies.
Completion Requirements:
- Demonstrate all required skills and critical steps successfully
- 100% attendance and active participation
- Achieve a minimum of 75% on a written, closed-book knowledge evaluation
- Adherence to the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross
Certification:
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a 3-year certification in CPR Level C.
Recertification Options:
Level C: 3.5 hours in-class

This comprehensive course offers 8 hours of online learning followed by 7 hours of in-person teaching, ideal for those requiring first aid and CPR skills for work or who wish to be prepared for emergencies. The course meets provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance board requirements and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

Completion Requirements
Participants must successfully demonstrate all required skills, including critical steps, attend 100% of the course, achieve a minimum of 75% on a written, closed-book knowledge evaluation, and adhere to the Fundamental Principles.
Certification
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a 3-year certification in Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C.
Recertification
Standard First Aid recertification requires 7-7.5 hours of instruction and includes CPR Level A or C and AED, in accordance with local legislation.
