Event Details

Wilderness First Aid Recertification (WFA)
RECERTIFICATION ONLY – MUST HOLD CURRENT/VALID WFA CERTIFICATE

This recertification course is designed for participants to refresh their comprehensive first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills, as well as the necessary abilities to plan, prevent injury, and promote safety in wilderness or remote work environments. The course emphasizes leadership development, assessment, decision-making, and providing extended care for up to 24 hours.

Prevention, health, and wellness for the group are a key focus, and the training is conducted primarily outdoors, offering a more active and realistic experience than typical first aid courses. As a bonus, participants will also learn basic shelter construction, though this is not part of the certification!
