Course Overview
This 40-hour Wilderness First Responder (WFR) Continuation bridges participants from their Wilderness First Aid (WFA) certification to the advanced skills required for extended remote care and complex rescue situations. Learn to lead in high-stakes environments with comprehensive training in patient assessment, urgent evacuation, and extended care planning when access to definitive medical services is delayed.
Designed with outdoor professionals in mind, this course emphasizes leadership, extrication, and practical use of advanced first aid tools β all taught through immersive, hands-on scenarios. The final portion includes a full overnight simulation to reinforce field decision-making, endurance, and team dynamics.

Prerequisites
- Minimum 16 years of age
- Physically and mentally prepared for active participation

- Access to the current CRC WFR participant materials
