Wilderness First Responder Recertification (WFR)

RECERTIFICATION ONLY – MUST HOLD CURRENT/VALID WFR CERTIFICATE.

Participants in the Wilderness First Responder Recertification (WFR) course will refresh their advanced first aid and CPR skills essential for responding to emergencies in remote or wilderness settings. This course focuses on urgent evacuation and extended care for five or more days until professional medical help is available. You will also sharpen your leadership, rescue decision-making, and extrication skills, as well as the use of professional tools and resources.

A large part of the training takes place outdoors, providing a realistic learning environment. Be prepared for physical activity and endurance training beyond that of typical first aid courses.
