Our GSAR group has used Ridge Wilderness on multiple of occasions for Wilderness First aid and Advanced Wilderness First aid. I have personally been present on these courses and would recommend them to SAR members as well as anyone who is in the outdoors on a regular basis. These are not “cookie cutter” courses and the instructors challenge you to find solutions in realistic situations that you may encounter in the outdoors. The hands on training and scenarios in the field by the highly trained instructors kept everyone in the group motivated to deal with injuries, providing shelter and dealing with psychological effects of being injured in the wilderness. Feedback from individuals that took the course was very positive and had a significant impact on team building within the group with the skills that were achieved. I look forward to booking Ridge Wilderness Adventures in the near future to maintain and improve our skills as a group.
